Yarra International Kindergarten is an Australian-centred, English-immersion kindergarten, offering a active learning, child-centred, play-based program inspired by the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). Our warm and engaging environment nurtures each child’s individuality and encourages creativity, confidence, and kindness. The founding family, part-Australian, part-Vietnamese, invested in this as a passion project for their own children and to provide an international standard option for families in Da Nang.
We combine a rotation of native English-speaking international teachers with accredited Vietnamese co-teachers always in the classroom to create a language-rich and supportive classroom. Children enjoy a balance of structured and open-ended activities such as phonics, English, storytelling, science, show & tell, cooking, arts, music, and sports.
Beyond purposeful learning, we place great emphasis on character development, promoting values such as care, empathy, politeness, cooperation, and respect, all embedded in daily routines and social learning experiences.
Yarra is home to families from over 24 nationalities, creating a diverse and welcoming international community. Our students thrive in an immersive English environment where they naturally acquire language through play and interaction, not just with teachers, but crucially with their friends whereby English is the common language.
