Time of day options:
- Full day: This is by far the most popular option as nearly all students attend all day. This is encouraged because it allows students to follow the full Program.
- Mornings / afternoons only: due to limited placements with small class sizes, the fee is 80% of the full-day rate, and no other discounts are available with this option.
- Transition period: For Nursery age students, parents may express that a transition period is appropriate. The kindergarten allows for this within the 3-day trial. This is a decision of parents. Otherwise, fees remain the same.
- Full-time placements: All full-time placements are 5 days per week, Monday to Friday.
- Short-term placements: Short-term placements may have more flexibility. Parents can discuss their preferences with The Yarra Team.

SCHOOL FEES
- The school fees for regular and short-term students are as follows:
Regular long-term students
- Regular students are those who intend to remain until the end of the school year. They have to pay three types of fees: initial fees, tuition fee, and meals fee.
- Initial fees include a registration fee of 2.000.000d and a belongings pack fee of 2.000.000d, which covers a school uniform, a hat and backpack, and a blanket set.
- Meals fee is a fixed rate of 85.000d per day, which covers breakfast, lunch, and two snacks.
- Tuition fee varies depending on the age level of the student and the payment type. There are five age levels: Pre-Nursery (2022), Nursery (2021), Kindergarten 1 (2020), Kindergarten 2 (2019), and Kindergarten 3 (2018). There are three payment types: annual, quarterly, and monthly. Paying annually gives a 20% discount, paying quarterly gives a 10% discount, and paying monthly has no discount. The annual discount is only available from July to October each school year, but may be withdrawn sooner. The tuition fee for each age level and payment type is shown in the table below:
A. Pre-Nursery (2022) & Nursery (2021)
Annual payment = 110.400.000d/year (includes 20% off)
Quarterly payments = 31.050.000d/quarter (includes 10% off)
Monthly payments = 11.500.000d/month (no discount applied)
B. Kindergarten 1 (2020), Kindergarten 2 (2019) and Kindergarten 3 (2018).
Annual payment = 134.400.000d/year (includes 20% off)
Quarterly payments = 37.800.000d/quarter (includes 10% off)
Monthly payments = 14.000.000d/month (no discount applied)
- New regular student placements can have a 3 day trial before officially beginning. Regular students can also get discounts if they have siblings or referrals. They have to pay a deposit of 8.000.000d, which will be credited for the quarter 4 tuition payment.
Short-term students
- Short-term students are those who don't intend to complete the school year. Short-term students need to nominate their period of enrolment to ensure a placement remains available. They do not have to pay the initial fees, but they have a higher tuition fee and the same meals fee as regular students. They are not eligible for any discounts or trials. They may have to pay all the fees in advance to maintain their placement. There are a limited number of short-term placements in each class. The tuition fee for short-term students is based on a daily rate. The daily rate for tuition is 870.000d per day, plus 85.000d per day for meals.
Advice for parents
- Advice to parents regarding kindergareten fees comparison: compare school fees by calculating all fees and obtaining a daily rate, because some schools may hide extra fees or have fewer school days.
Pro-rata tuition and meals fees
- The fees are calculated pro-rata based on the starting date and the number of school days remaining in each quarter or period.
Financial quarters
- Fees are due based on financial quarters. Financial quarters do not correspond to school periods.
- There are four financial quarters in a year, with different dates and lengths. The dates and lengths of each quarter are shown in the table below:
Quarter 1: August 1, 2023 to October 20, 2023
Quarter 2: October 23, 2023 to January 26, 2024
